A participant is connected with a registered nurse who will help you navigate the health care system, offering support, information, cost-saving strategies and encouragement along the way. 

Participation in the programs lasts as long as needed. Typically, members participate in 3 to 5 calls, but this can vary depending on your specific goals and needs.   

No, there’s no travel required — the programs take place over the phone.    

  • When you participate in a program, your nurse will help you by supporting your existing relationships with doctors — and can also help you establish relationships with new care providers, if needed.
  • Doctor’s appointments can sometimes feel rushed. Also, during an appointment, you might not know exactly what to ask. For that reason, nurses can help suggest important questions to ask during appointments to help improve communication with your doctor. This helps ensure you get the information you need.
  • If you have a tough decision to make about treatment, your nurse can offer information about your options, so you can make an informed decision. Also, your nurse can help schedule appointments or speak with your doctor. 

Yes, support can be provided for family members covered under the medical plan.  Also, if consent is given, caregivers are welcome to join and participate on the member’s behalf.
